The waiting is almost over!
In less than a week, Mary and Joseph will hold baby Jesus in their arms and see the love of God manifest-in skin and bones, with wrinkles and cries, begging for milk, completely dependent on a pair of frail humans.
The love of God-made human.
The love of God-dwelling WITH us, in all our brokenness.
The love of God-come to heal us.
The love of God.
Dwell in this truth as you sing our #hymnoftheweek this week, and anticipate the coming celebrations!
Lyrics
Silent night, holy night!
All is calm, all is bright
round yon virgin mother and child.
Holy Infant, so tender and mild,
sleep in heavenly peace,
sleep in heavenly peace.
Silent night, holy night!
Shepherds quake at the sight.
Glories stream from heaven afar,
heav’nly hosts sing, Alleluia!
Christ, the Savior, is born!
Christ, the Savior, is born!
Silent night, holy night!
Son of God, love’s pure light
radiant beams from thy holy face
with the dawn of redeeming grace,
Jesus, Lord, at thy birth,
Jesus, Lord, at thy birth.
